Убыль постоянного населения Петербурга превысила 12 тыс. человек в год

Численность постоянного населения Санкт-Петербурга в 2020 году уменьшилась на 12,1 тыс. человек и к началу 2021 года составила 5 млн 386 тыс. человек. Основным отрицательным фактором, способствовавшем сокращению населения, стала увеличившаяся из-за пандемии смертность. Рождаемость оставалась относительно низкой, как и в предыдущие годы, из-за влияния демографической ямы 1990-х годов. При этом миграция не покрывала естественную убыль населения. Об этом говорилось 22 марта на заседании правительства Санкт-Петербурга, передает корреспондент ИА REGNUM.
Согласно данным, которые огласил Валерий Москаленко, глава комитета по экономической политике и стратегическому планированию Санкт Петербурга, в 2020 году в регионе естественная убыль составила 17,3 тыс. человек (в 2019 году — 0,3 тыс. чел.), а миграционный прирост составил 5,2 тыс. (14,5 тыс. в 2019 году).

Коэффициент смертности в Петербурге составил 13,5 случаев на 1000 человек населения (по России в среднем 14,5), коэффициент рождаемости составил 10,3 на 1000 человек (9,8 по России). В абсолютных цифрах в Петербурге родились 55 439 детей (минус 3558 к уровню 2019 года, скончались 72 750 человек (на 13 558 больше, чем в 2019 году).

Как сообщалось, по данным Росстата, смертность в Петербурге от всех причин в 2020 году выросла на 22,9% по сравнению с 2019 годом. Основной причиной смерти, как и ранее, в Петербурге являются сердечно-сосудистые заболевания, на втором месте — онкологические заболевания, на третье место вышел COVID-19.
